Archive broadcast of the Funeral of Lonnie B. Brown

Precious Friends and Prayer Partners,

Lonnie Brown received his healing and promotion on Friday, May 16th at 3:42 in the afternoon while his son-in-law, Rev. Jason Sciscoe was reading John 14. All of his family was there to celebrate his home going with singing and worship. The peace and presence of God filled the room, and the strength of your prayers was felt by all. We will never forget your outpouring of love, support and prayers during this journey.

The viewings will be from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Monday, May 19th and from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20th.

The Home going service will be on Tuesday, May 20th at 1 p.m. Both the viewing and the service will be held at New Life Center, 11570 Mark Twain Lane, Bridgeton, Missouri 63044.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Contributions may be made to the Lonnie B. Brown Memorial Fund, to benefit three ministries that he loved the most: Bible Quizzing, World Missions, and New Life Christian School.

The Lonnie Brown family has been a part of the New Life Center church family since childhood.  Lonnie has served NLC faithfully as a church board member, trustee, and other leading roles, as well as continued involvement in New Life Christian School

His faithfulness, exceptional abilities and sterling Christian character continue to be an inspiration to those acquainted with Lonnie. Lonnie will be dearly missed by many family and friends from New Life Center.

Lonnie Brown was a faithful supporter and friend to New Life Christian School from our beginning until he passed from this life. We will miss him dearly. He was a part of the vision and dream of the inception of New Life Christian School with our founding pastor, Guy E. Roam over 34 years ago. Brother Brown served on the very first school board and many thereafter and could always be depended on to help in whatever capacity was needed for the continuance of the dream. I am sure Brother Brown is presenting his "Action Items" to God at this moment, and I can only imagine that New Life Christian School is on that long list! We love the Brown family and we will surely miss this great man of God.
