God is love. God loves you, His love for us is eternal, unchanging. I believe that these statements are the heart of the bible and the focus of the gospel. This is good news!
King David and Prophet Jeremiah said that God loved us before we were born. Therefore God's love for you is not based on our performance but on His nature. The scripture is clear; while we were still sinners Jesus loved us and gave His life to save us. His love is eternal, unlimited, unchanging and unconditional. Even His commandments and correction are motivated by His love.
